The Ministry of Trade announced that export restrictions had been imposed on fifty-four product groups exported from Turkey to Israel, effective from April 9, 2024.
The justification for the export restrictions to be imposed on Israel by Turkey highlights Israel's violations of international law through its attacks on the Gaza Strip, referencing decisions made by the United Nations Security Council, UN General Assembly, UN Human Rights Council, and International Court of Justice regarding Israel.

In this context, the Ministry of Trade has decided to restrict the export of a total of fifty-four product groups to Israel, including iron and steel products, cement, aircraft, and jet fuel, as announced in the list published by the Ministry. It has been stated that this export restriction will remain in effect until the date when Israel declares a ceasefire and allows the flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
