Customs Law

The primary legislation that companies operating in Turkey are subject to during their import and export transactions consists of the Customs Law numbered 4458 and the Customs Regulation.

Due to the fact that the customs legislation is utterly complicated and volatile, it is frequently seen that administrative disputes (customs tax, administrative fine accrual, etc.) may arise during import and export transactions. Preventing from the loss of rights of the taxpayers is possible with the appropriate approach and timely intervention in such disputes. The rights of our taxpayer clients are protected in the most efficient way with the lawsuits filed before Tax and Administrative Courts by our customs law counsels, who are exclusively experienced and specialised in Customs Law.

In addition, in case of the irregularity or illegality exceeds the scope of an administrative dispute, the taxpayers may confront with the provisions of the Anti-Smuggling Law numbered 5607 and Turkish Penal Code regarding the forgery of official documents. The public prosecution lawsuits filed under such circumstances before the Criminal Courts of First Instance and Aggravated Criminal Courts are successfully prosecuted on behalf of our taxpayer clients.
