Pursuant to the Law on the Restructuring of Certain Receivables and Amendments to Certain Laws (the “Omnibus Bill”) published on the Official Gazette dated 17 November 2020 and numbered 31307, the President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has been authorised to extend the application period and/or the duration of short-term working allowance until 30 June 2021, whether distinctively on the basis of the sector/industry or as a whole.
Within the scope of the Decree introduced in accordance with the Omnibus Bill, application period for short-term working allowance for the employers applied for such allowance on grounds of compelling reasons stemming from the seasonal conditions due to Covid-19 regarding the period following 1 December 2020 has been extended from 30 June 2020 to 31 December 2020.
In this regard, employers who either had not applied for short-term working allowance until the date of 30 June 2020 or wish to apply in terms of the employees employed after the mentioned date may benefit from the short-term working allowance.
In this regard, employees may apply for short-term working allowance until 31 December 2020.
The applications should be made through “e-State” online platform.
